Tal founded Betterez in 2011 with a mission to transform bus travel through ground-breaking innovations in reservation technology. As CEO, he manages the company’s fast-growing business across Europe, North America, Latin America and Australasia. Tal was previously Vice President of IT, at Porter Airlines and led several projects at Deloitte Consulting’s CRM practice in Silicon Valley, UK, Netherlands, Italy, and Canada.


Hernán García

Hernan is responsible for product design, platform architecture, and leading the company’s high performing software engineering team across development, testing, QA and support. Prior to Betterez, Hernan held senior technical and consulting roles at leading firms such as Thoughtworks and HP. He loves all technologies, modern and scalable, and contributes his technical thoughts and ideas online @theprogrammer.


Mike Van Horn

Mike leads revenue, sales, marketing, and partnerships for Betterez, as well as the company's Application Marketplace initiative. He firmly believes that sales must remain an integral part of a customer’s success and is therefore also a key contributor to the company’s processes and standards in the support, success and product roadmap functions. Prior to joining Betterez, Mike held sales, business development and management positions at Perot Systems, Deloitte Consulting, Dell Services and Tata Consultancy Services. He also served in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Sergeant and subsequently Captain.

Michael Deluce co-founded Porter Airlines, an award-winning Canadian airline focused on delivering refined airline experiences. As President and Chief Executive Officer, he oversees the airline’s strategy, commercial objectives, operational performance and financial success. Michael is also a member of Porter’s Board of Directors and a member of the Board of Directors of Nasdaq-listed Allegro Merger Corp and UBS Bank Canada.

Mr. Carty currently serves on the Boards of Porter Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Canadian National Railway Company. His past leadership roles include Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AMR Corporation and American Airlines.

He was previously on the board of Hyperwallet - recently acquired by PayPal. 


Jim Lockheed

Jim Lockheed is an Investment Principal with JetBlue Technology Ventures, where he focuses on investing in early stage companies across the travel industry. Prior to working at JTV, Jim spent five years as an entrepreneur, including founding one of the first commercial drone services businesses in the Pacific Northwest. He also spent four years with a Boeing subsidiary called Insitu, where he operated surveillance drones overseas and then managed operations for DoD programs. Jim is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and holds a MBA from the University of Oregon and a B.S. in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Sruti Patnaik

Sruti Patnaik is the SVP of IT at a Fortune 300 Retailer in the US. In her current role, she collaborates with Executive Leadership to support the business strategies and technology needs. She is also responsible for all technology operations and innovation across the company’s distribution centers, over 1800 stores and many corporate functions. She is a member of company’s DE&I Council, Founder of "Women in IT" group and most recently the recipient of the Top Women in Retail award.

Prior to her current role, she has worked in High-Tech, Manufacturing and Wireless industries. She has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Music.

She is a mother of 180+2 kids. She runs the non-profit organization she founded 21 years ago called the Twinkle Academy (www.littletwinkleacademy.org) that provides education and vital services to underserved children in India. She has 2 boys of her own and 180 children that go to the school "Little Twinkle Academy" that she operates in a remote village in India. As she puts it, this is her humble attempt to bring back the twinkle in their eyes.
